Snack Sunday: CW Bronoir Brownie Chocochip Cookie
Written by Ji | 30 April 2017
On today’s Snack Sunday adventure, I tried out CW Bronoir Brownie Chocochip Cookie. I’ve never been one to buy store bought cookies. I bake several times a week but this week I was feeling a bit lazy and decided to buy some snacks and desserts instead. I haven’t had the chance to do a KDrama marathon in a while, so this weekend was the weekend to KDrama and chill.
After I set up my drama, I opened up the box and squealed with delight. If you don’t know by now, I love individual packaged sweets. They are convenient, easy to share with people, and they just make life just a little bit easier. But what got me really excited was the fact that it was not only individually packaged but it came with a little carton box. This is perfect for my work area. I can put this in a drawer or have it nicely displayed on the top of my desk. Now if this product were in individual boxes (to prevent it from being squished), I would be in the car, driving to the market and buying all their inventory.
I finally opened the wrapper and examined the hybrid brownie cookie. The outer texture felt weirdly smooth and the top looked a little burnt. I took a bite of CW Bronoir Brownie Chocochip Cookie. My smile disappeared from my face. I knew it was going to be dry based on the outer texture and the burnt look of the cookie but this dryness was on a different level. After a few minutes of coughing and deciding whether or not I would actually finish the small cookie, I popped the snack into my mouth so I could give it a proper chance. I instantly regretted that decision.
The cookie was dry and lack any flavor minus the burnt aftertaste it left behind. The half of teaspoon of brownie inside the cookie was no better. I spent a good amount of time, trying to figure out what I want to say without saying it so harshly. But honestly, I could not find one.
Would I buy this again?
No. I’m so disappointed. I was so in love with the packaging and wished so hard that this would be my go to work snack. But sadly, I now have 13 individually wrapped cookies left and I have no idea what to do with them.
